Lenny Cyrus: School Virus

                When Love and Science Collide
Love and science: that is never a good combination. However, Lenny Cyrus, thirteen- year-old genius, does not quite understand that. He has loved fellow classmate Zooey from third grade, and now he has a brilliant plan: shrink himself down to amoeba-size and go inside Zooey’s body to change her mind about their relationship, literally. However, he finds out that girls are not quite like physics; there is not a universal equation for love, and Lenny accidentally causes an infection that nearly kills Zooey. Now, Lenny must not only stop the infection, he must also escape her human body alive.
I thought this book was a great sci-fi story. The principle of mixing love with science set up an accident that the reader knew was just inevitable, leaving the reader waiting at the edge of his/her seat for something bad to happen. I thought that all the characters were unique and the story both funny and quirky at the same time. The prospect of each virus and molecule in the human body having its own personality made a great and novel twist. I gave this book five stars for its excitement and novelty.
